• At CronySoft, we have a dedicated team to ensure that all the client deliverables go through rigorous testing rounds, before they are given to the client. We believe that the final product should always be ZD product.

• The entire testing procedure is very clearly defined. Before a project reaches the testing stage it goes though a number of checks by the concerned developers. They use well-formed checklists that ensure that the bugs, if any are rectified in the initial stages only. So, once the project reaches the testing stage, there are either no bugs or very little bugs that are present.

• The concerned team who is dedicatedly on the testing of projects, uses the checklists along with the well designed test cases to ensure that all the defects, whether mechanical, language, ID, coding, functionality related are thoroughly checked and are rectified.

• All the findings of the testing round are reported to the concerned developers using a specially designed template, who in turn fixes each error reported and sends the project back for a final audit. This final audit, basically serves as the verification round, for all the errors that were reported in the previous round. Also, the audit round eliminates the possibility and ensures the fact that the final product is without any defect.

CronySoft has a robust and time-tested Business Continuity Plan (BCP) that ensures that the business operations of CronySoft are not disrupted by any natural or unnatural disaster.

The BCP reiterates our commitment to delivering the highest quality solutions using the onsite/offshore model, and protecting our clients from risk. Our business continuity plans are based on the need to protect professional staff, computing infrastructure, and intellectual property in order to help our customers remain in business through any contingency. That includes provisions to ensure the mobility of professional skills along with fully redundant communications backbones and computing infrastructures.

Power & Utilities
Our entire facility can be run on auxiliary power. We have multiple back-up options to enable us to run the facility without power for an uninterrupted period of 2 days. The electrical supply into the facility is conditioned using a three-phase servo stabilizer. All power supply to computers is provided by online Uninterrupted Power Supply systems. Load balancing and redundant clusters stabilize voltage and frequency to within 1%. An underground water storage tank has the capacity to service the entire CronySoft facility for 2 days. We also have our own bore well.

Internet Redundancy
We have three parallel high speed connections (512 mbps each) from different service providers. This ensures 100% connectivity to the cyber space.





Fire & Medical Emergencies
We have arrangements with a 24x7 hospital a few miles from the office. Contact details are maintained at multiple points for nearby fire stations, blood banks, police station, 24-hour pharmacies etc. We have elaborate fire safety arrangements including B and C type extinguishers, multiple exits, smoke alarms, and hose pipes within the facility.

Data and Exchange Recovery
An intelligent disaster recovery system is in place for restoring complete server information at short duration. The backup is restored on an offline Exchange server for high availability.

A dedicated team of engineers who work on a 24x7 schedule resolves ongoing operations issues. An intranet-enabled helpdesk request is followed by a structured process ensuring quick resolution of queries, leading to very low downtime of hardware and software

Yes, we do support all software we design and deliver on the basis of a separate support/maintenance contracts. This generally includes bug-tracking and fixing. We also do support and maintain software developed by other vendors.

What is the response time to an initial communication?
The response time to an email is a few minutes, whereas IM chat is instant with no response time at all. Our team in Bangladesh can also be available virtually 24/7 for the purpose of responding to customer query.

How do you provide project estimates and project schedules?
Before the initiation of the project, we carry out a very comprehensive scoping and estimation exercise using intelligent tools developed in-house. We have onboard systems analysts who are adept at project analysis and estimation. On the basis of the work-load involved in the development phase as well as the project delivery requirements, we provide the estimate for the project. Once when the project has been estimated and scheduled, we use Microsoft Project Server 2000 for scheduling the deliverables and monitoring of the project progress. We have also developed our own custom-designed tool named TAR Manager for issue and bug tracking.

How do you handle change request and changes in project scope?
We use a time-tested change management procedure for any changes in the project. For ongoing minor changes in the running project, the changes are communicated to the project manager concerned, who gets them executed. If the changes are significant and can greatly add to the work-load that has been estimated at the beginning of the project, then we scope creep the project again and submit the revised quote, for acceptance to the client.

We have a well organized process for testing and qualification. We have a team of quality assurance specialists located in our offshore development center who provide systematic testing, verification and quality assurance. At CronySoft, we understand the importance of knowledge pertaining to the project and ensure that we deploy a shadow resource for every 5 or 6 resources who work on the project. This ensures that despite the attrition that may happen in the future, there is an extra resource (who will be the knowledge source) pertaining to that project. Majority of our projects have shadow resource deployments in order to ensure safety of our client's and partner's projects. Detailed project documentation at all stages of the project also helps us manage the project knowledge.

How do you deal with urgent bug fixing?
We have a bug fixing and bug tracking mechanism. In this system we prioritize the issues on the basis of priority P1, P2, P3 and P4. All urgent bug fixing issues are put in the priority P1 list and our support team addresses them immediately.

How detailed a set of requirements do you require from us?
Again, it's an interactive process. In scenario one: if you do not have any spec outlined we ask you to give us minimal requirement specifications (may be a page or two page description of the system). Then we start developing the formal requirements document from that. Every release of this document is reviewed by the client and we do modifications accordingly. Generally it goes on from few weeks to a couple of months (depending on size of the project). In this process the Requirement Specifications becomes the Bible for development. All changes and modifications are captured continuously in this document. On the other hand if you already have a specification document we start with a discussion on that, refine it for some period of time, try to freeze it once all agreed.

You will be in direct communication with our Dallas office who will work with you and with your team on a regular basis. We also have web based project management tools and mechanism for each and every page, so that each project can be monitored 24/7 and updates and bug tracking can be done any time. Also at our offshore development center, we have an IPLC connection that gives us a local American Number (Dallas Number) that reaches our Bangladesh Office. You can make a domestic call from America and speak with your team in Bangladesh as long as you like, and vice versa. This way you have access to some member of our team 24 hours a day.

We follow all standard project management methodologies using all available tools (e.g., MS Project). We have a sign-off process for each delivery after the specification is firmed up.

This is a very difficult question. Our processes have been designed around "XP" Extreme Programming? Which works towards being able to handle just this situation?
